Packed with everything you need to begin the Christmas season, it promises to be a magical experience for kids and grown-ups alike. Wander through the winter wonderland, shop in the Christmas market, enjoy the entertainment on offer for all ages - making the Toy Show the perfect Christmas day out for all the family.

Celebrate Halloween @ Saffron & Sapphire - Samhain Ritual with Jaya
on Friday 28 October at 6.30pm till 8pm

Halloween marks the end of the old year and the entry in the "dark time of the year", a time to rest and contemplate before the 21st of December - the Winter Solstice.

The night of Samhain is when the veils between the visible and invisible worlds are thin. Celestial beings, spirits, fairy people roam free to mix and mingle with the human kind.

To honor the night, Jaya will create a ritual calling on the elements - fire water earth and air - to magically encircle us while we make our "let goes" - burning them in the alchemy fire. The broomstick is used to make a clean sweep of the past.

FESTIVAL DES BATEAUX, Dun Laoghaire

Between 12th and 14th August 2011, Dun Laoghaire will be the only international stop on the world famous French Solitaire du Figaro yacht race.
The harbour will be a magnificent tapestry of colour as the boats arrive for this international event. Dun Laoghaire will be resplendent with fireworks, music and the sights, sounds, and foods.

The Horse Show is a Dublin institution. A celebration of Ireland's affinity with the horse, the Dublin Horse Show has the best show horses and the best international show jumpers compete for honours. It is one of Ireland's largest events, a highlight of the summer, each year welcoming tens of thousands of people from Ireland and all over the world.

Steam Train Rally

Since 1966, the Irish Steam Train Rally has been held in the superb grounds of Stradbally Hall, Stradbally, Co. Laois.
The 47th event in the series will take place on Sunday 31st July and Monday 1st August 2011
This is considered by many to be the premier event in the calendar of steam and vintage shows throughout Ireland. It attracts a wide range of working exhibits and a huge attendance of visitors, with entertainment for all the family.

2011 is the 'Year of the Craft' and the Ballina Salmon Festival plans to make this years Heritage Day the best to date.

Luttrellstown Castle Picnic Fundraising

St Mochta's is running a Parish Picnic Fundraising event on [color=blue][b]Sunday 19th June 2011 [/color][/b]in the grounds of Luttrellstown Castle. The day is full of sporting activities, stalls, Farmers Market, Treasure Hunt and live music.
Last year we were blessed with a scorching sun, let's hope it will repeat itself in 2011!
